Synopsis

Hazel Grace et Gus sont deux adolescents hors-normes, partageant un humour ravageur et le mépris des conventions. Leur relation est elle-même inhabituelle, étant donné qu’ils se sont rencontrés et sont tombés amoureux lors d'un groupe de soutien pour les malades du cancer.

Ce que j'en ai pensé

C'est devenu l'un de mes films préférés. Il m'a fait rire pendant la première partie. Et pleuré pendant la deuxième. J'ai même dû me mordre le doigt pour ne pas sangloter dans le cinéma. Derrière moi certaines ne s'en privaient pas, je les ai d'ailleurs croisées aux toilettes ensuite, elles étaient encore en larmes. Un film donc bouleversant, magnifique, juste infiniment beau. 

Le film est très respectueux du roman. Ainsi, l'histoire est belle, tragique, émouvante. Vous pouvez lire ma critique du roman ici. Pour ceux qui ne l'ont pas lu, je résume la situation. Hazel est une fille à l'humour caustique intelligente, mature, pétillante. Augustus est un garçon du genre tombeur à l'humour ravageur, intelligent lui aussi et fin. Ils se rencontrent à un groupe de soutien pour les malades du cancer et tombent éperdument amoureux l'un de l'autre. Un amour pur voué à l'échec : Hazel souffre d'un cancer incurable et Augustus est en rémission. Roméo et Juliette quoi, two star-crossed lovers, promis à un destin funèbre...

Quand on sort de ce film, on n'a qu'une envie : profiter de la vie. A fond. YOLO diraient certains... Ils ont tellement raison...

Au niveau technique, les acteurs jouent très très bien. Shailene Woodley et Ansel Elgort sont vraiment dans leur personnage. (Je suis tombée amoureuse d'Augustus Waters... Attention Tobias Eaton, tu as de la concurrence !) Les acteurs secondaires sont eux aussi très bons : à commencer par l'interprète de Van Houten. Détestable à souhait et pourtant touchant... C'est bien filmé et Amsterdam est magique !! La bande son est géniale ! Enfin bref, un sans faute !

Pour conclure, un film à voir absolument !! (N'oubliez pas vos mouchoirs, je peux vous assurer que vous en aurez besoin.) En tout cas pour moi, c'est vraiment un coup de cœur. Ce film nous donne vraiment un but dans la vie : vivre justement. 

Synopsis

Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.

My thought

Now it's one of my favorite films... It made me laugh during the first part and cry during the second part.  I had to bite my finger not to sob in the cinema. But behind me some girls couldn't help sobbing. I saw them after the film in the toilets they were still crying. The Fault in our stars is really upsetting, wonderful, just infinitely beautiful.

The film is faithful to the novel. Thereby, the story is beautiful, tragic and moving. You can read my thought about the book here. For those who didn't read it, I sum up for you. Hazel is a brilliant, bubbly, mature girl with caustic humor. Augustus is a lady-killer with a devastating humor. He's also clever and sensible. They meet at a support group for cancer patients and they fall hopelessly in love with each other. A love doomed to fail: Hazel suffers from an incurable cancer and Augustus is in remission. Kind of Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers, promised a funeral destiny...

Every girl wants a guy to tell her this! <3

When you goes out from this film, you only have one desire: enjoy life. To the fullest. YOLO some would say... They're so right...

Technically speaking, the actors play their part very well. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort make Hazel and Gus come alive. (I fell in love with Augustus Waters... Be careful Tobias Eaton, you have competition!) The secondary actors are also very good: to begin with the interpreter of Van Houten. Detestable to perfection and yet touching... It's well shot and Amsterdam is absolutely magic! The soundtrack is super! In short, a no-fault (except in the stars...).

To conclude, it's a must-watched!!! (Don't forget your tissues, I can assure you you'll need some!) Anyway, for me it's a real favorite. This film gives us a goal in life: live precisely.
