Synopsis

The fact is that I could not let go of this novel once started. I had to know if Allyson would finally find Willem. But actually, now that I have finished this novel, I can not help thinking that this story is really nunuche. In fact, I have not managed to really identify with the heroine that I found rather pathetic. I think if I devoured this novel is that I am fond of love stories and happy ends. Which seems very silly and what probably is. Allyson is a too wise girl who falls in love with a boy she just met and she will then deject by the sudden and unexplained disappearance of the boy. And if there's one thing I do not like is heroines who let themselves down. I find it really stupid to let yourself wither for a boy with whom you've spent one day only. That is why my final opinion on this novel is really negative. I found this story too silly. I admit I was taken by this novel and have been anxious to get to the outcome because I had hope. But on reflection, I find it so stupid. Finally, I was really disappointed by this novel largely because it is written by the author of If I stay, a novel I really loved.
Synopsis
Allyson Healey’s life is exactly like her
suitcase—packed, planned, ordered. Then on the last day of her
three-week post-graduation European tour, she meets Willem.
A free-spirited, roving actor, Willem is everything she’s not, and
when he invites her to abandon her plans and come to Paris with him,
Allyson says yes. This uncharacteristic decision leads to a day of risk
and romance, liberation and intimacy: 24 hours that will transform
Allyson’s life.My thought
