10/07/2016 Seminyak
Premier jour à Bali. Nous petit-déjeunons à l'hôtel, le Harris Hotel. C'est un hôtel de type international, sans véritable cachet, mais très confortable ! Le buffet de petit-déjeuner est copieux et varié. Nous allons ensuite nous balader dans les rues de Seminyak. L'architecture est très hétéroclite et tout est encore en chantier. Les trottoirs ne sont pas finis et les bâtiments en construction alternent avec les petites échoppes et les magasins de vêtements aussi chers qu'en Europe ! Il règne dans les rues une agitation perpétuelle entre les klaxons des taxis, les scooters qui se faufilent partout et les piétons dont beaucoup de touristes. Nous déambulons dans la ville en faisant attention aux offrandes posées à même le trottoir devant les magasins. Ici, les gens sont très croyants. La religion majoritaire est l'hindouisme. La coutume, les cérémonies sont vraiment très importantes pour les balinais.
First day in Bali! We have breakfast at the hotel. We stay at the Harris Hotel. It's an international type of hotel, not very authentic but very comfortable! The breakfast is served as a buffet. There are plenty of things to eat. It's very nice. We then go walking in the Seminyak streets. The architecture is very motley and everything is in the works. The pavement is not finished and the buildings in construction alternate with little shops and clothes shops as expensive sometimes as in Europe! The streets are very busy between the taxis' klaxons, the scooters that squeeze through, and the pedestrian among which a lot of tourists. Walking the streets, you have to pay attention to your feets as they're offerings on the pavement just in front of the shops. Here, people are very faithful. The more represented religion is hinduism. Custom and ceremonies are very important to the balinese.
Nous déjeunons au Tiger Palm. C'est délicieux, l'un des meilleurs restaurants de tout le voyage ! Je déguste un porc au caramel absolument succulent !
We have lunch at the Tiger Palm. One of the best restaurants we went during the trip! I've taken a caramel pork absolutely delicious!
Après ce déjeuner, nous nous rendons à la plage. Celle-ci est immense. Il y a beaucoup de monde mais la plage est tellement grande que cela n'est pas gênant. De plus, le sable doux se prête bien à une balade pieds nus. Le soir, nous allons dîner dans un restaurant indien non loin de notre hôtel, le Queen's Indian Tandoori. C'est très bon !
After that, we go to the beach. The latter is huge. There's a lot of people, but the beach is so big that it's not uncomfortable. Moreover, the sand is so soft that it's a real pleasure to have a walk barefoot. At night, we go dining in an Indian restaurant not far from our hotel, the Queen's Indian Tandoori. Really good!
11/07/2016 Seminyak
Deuxième jour à Seminyak. Même programme qu'hier : ville le matin, plage l'après-midi. Nous déjeunons dans un restaurant conseillé par le guide du routard : le Warung Bamboo. Une grosse déception !!! Ce n'est pas bon du tout, le restaurant ne ressemble à rien, les nappes sont trouées. Vraiment une très mauvaise adresse ! L'après-midi, nous sommes chassés de la plage par la pluie et nous rentrons à l'hôtel plus tôt que prévu où nous farnientons en attendant l'heure du dîner. Nous allons manger au restaurant italien en face de l'hôtel. J'ai oublié de noter le nom mais c'est une très bonne adresse. De plus, la salle est mignonne.
Second day in Seminyak. Just like yesterday, we walk in the streets during the morning and then go to the beach. We have lunch in a restaurant we found in the Guide du routard. Very disappointing!! It's not good at all, the restaurant is not even nice, they are holes in the napkins and the glasses are dirty. A very bad address! During the afternoon, we're forced to leave the beach because of the rain, and go back to our hotel earlier. We then just chill out until dinner time when we go to the italian restaurant just in front of the hotel. A very nice restaurant. I've forgotten the name of it, I'm sorry.
